Couple sentenced in Waverly 'pill mill' case

A West Portsmouth couple was sentenced this week for operating a “pill mill” in Waverly.

Nancy Sadler, 49, and her husband, Lester “Ape” Sadler, 56, were convicted by a jury in May after a 10-day trial for operating Ohio Medical and Pain Management LLC as a continuing criminal enterprise.

The couple was also convicted on one count each of conspiracy and maintaining a premises for the purpose of distributing drugs. Nancy Sadler was also convicted on one count of wire fraud and money laundering for the illegal purchase and sale of 40,200 units of hydrocodone in order to purchase a convertible.......READ MORE
