Person Attacked By Dogs While Jogging

A female jogging was attacked by 3 dogs on Rocky Road late Thursday afternoon on Mt.Logan Hill. The female was taken to Adena and her condition is unknown at this time. Springfield Township Fire and Rescue responded as well as the Ross County Sheriff who was able to to put down 2 of the dogs but the 3rd got away.

Ross County Home Destroyed By Fire

A Morning fire on State Route 41 destroyed a home early Wednesday Morning. The Greenfield Twp Fire Department responded to the blaze and Red Cross was called in to the assist the family. Everyone and the pets did get out but home appears to be a total loss.

Incidents on Stone Road Tuesday Afternoon

Ross County Sheriff's Deputies were involved in a foot chase into the woods in the Stone Road area late Tuesday Afternoon. The man they were chasing was involved in some type of situation regarding a possible gun via scanner traffic. After a short pursuit into the woods and officers did detained the man. The details of the situation and names are not known at this time.

Also in another situation happening currently the Ross County Sheriff currently has Stone Road blocked off. It is not known at this time if the 2 situations are related or not.

2 Accidents Monday Afternoon in Ross County

Emergency Personnel were busy in Ross County Monday Afternoon as 2 Accidents took place within 1 hour of one another. The first on Bishop Hill Road scanner traffic indicated a stove had blown up in the face of a female and the 2nd 45 minutes later a single car wrecked and rollover in the 2400 Block of Buchanan Rd. Names and conditions of the people involved are not known at this time.

One person suffered minor injuries in a 3 Car Accident on N.Bridge St in front of Nourse Dealerships early Sunday Evening that shut traffic down to one lane Northbound. No names or other details known at this time.

A 2009 Criminal Case that received hefty media coverage from Columbus TV Stations here in Ross County in the case of the abuse against a handicapped 16 yr old girl by her Home Health Caregiver has returned back to a court room for Civil Settlement. In September of 2009 the victims Mother suspected some type of foul play and hid a camera in a teddy bear at their residence, recording the conduct Gabrielle Francis-Pier took part in and who then pleaded guilty of misdemeanor child endangerment in the case, has returned to the courtroom after 4 years of legal tennis for the final Civil Trial on the lawsuit that was filed against the provider of the Caregiver,Easter Seals, due to the incident which Gabrielle at the time of committing the endangerment was in disciplinary trouble with Easter Seals from a prior incident. We'll follow up with results for you on which way it goes.
